Gallery 1506 proudly announces that our online store is now offering five exclusive items celebrating Stanley Mouse’s key contributions to Detroit’s and San Francisco’s early countercultural art movements.
Stanley Mouse, a pioneering artist of the psychedelic art movement, gained recognition for his vibrant, surreal designs in the 1960s. As a key figure in shaping concert poster aesthetics, his 1966 Cheese Factory and Edwardian Ball posters exemplify his bold, imaginative style, cementing his legacy in counterculture art.
Stanley’s passion for Monster Art began while he was a high school student in Detroit. His work in this area was a key contribution to the American Hot Rod movement that began in late the 50s.
